I have had this mixtape on constant rotation since it came out, why I didn't blog it is still a mystery to me. KRIT is a hard working southern artist from Alabama that is bringing back "REAL" southern hip-hop. This tape reminds me of an old UGK album mixed with an Outkast type of swag. You can really tell that KRIT puts his heart into his music by the stories he tells in his lyrics and the pure soul pouring out of the music.

Fabolous- The Soul Tape [Mixtape]

DOWNLOAD MIXTAPE!

"If you take one part Don Cornelius, two parts midnight oil, a little dry sarcasm and a whole lot of Brooklyn, you’ll find yourself circling the block where Fabolous just bought property to set up shop for The Soul Tape. When he isn’t in between reels (pick one: movie or music) portraying some Mafia Don with an oversized suit, he’s in his zone; his element, giving the ladies something to vibe to so the fellas can catch their vibrations.

So with that, it’s showtime at the Apollo as Fab keeps it rhythmic and bluesy with Trigga, Ryan Leslie, and Ne-Yo, spits politics as usual with the Desert Storm family and links up with Vado and Lloyd Banks for the highly anticipated “Mo Brooklyn, Mo Harlem, Mo Southside.”

It’s Loso on the soul flow, in case you didn’t know so. "

Nemo Achida- Digital Dan LP

From Nemo's Bandcamp Site

Goodday Goodfolk,
I've been holding-on to this project since October of last year. Although some of the content & approaches differ from where my head is as of now, I'm still passionate & committed to this effort. The title 'Digital Dan' has very little meaning... it's more or less my way of crowning myself in the present-era. Majority of my self-produced records are created digitally, as well as promotion, imaging, etc. So that's the 'Logic' behind the title. The production ranges from myself, to myself & Clutch Porter, L. Starks(kentucky), DJ Well-Blended(detroit), King Mitus(nyc) ..& I think that's it. You'll notice that I attempted to spill a different facet of myself onto each record. So there'll probably not be a moment where you completely settle in. I'm not 100% sure if thats how albums are created, but I am definitely sure that this is the way to find my 'complete-Balance' - & I plan to do just that. Stay with me folks, I have more to come this year.......... for me, this entire journey is about staying positive & consistent.

enjoy,
Nemo Achida
