After gaining recognition as a one time Lil Wayne affiliate, Curren$y is doing things on his own now. He's been a regular at Damon Dash's CreativeControl start-up and made a reasonable dent in the blogosphere with mixtapes, freestyles, and clever videos. And now, he delivers Smokee Robinson, a mixtape crafted with the help of DJ Cannon to celebrate the New Orleans Saints' victory in Super Bowl XLIV. Curren$y is joined on here by like-minded and previous collaborators such as Nipsey Hussle and Wiz Khalifa as well as Big Sean, Chip Da Ripper, and Dom Kennedy.
